Stick Insects

This week for our topic on Minibeasts we have been learning about stick insects.

We have learnt that:

A stick insect looks like it is a stick with legs.

An insect has six legs. 

An insect has antennae. An insect has three body parts. 

The body parts are called the head, thorax and abdomen.

Stick insects have very long feelers and they have very small heads.

Stick insects live in trees and on plants. 

Stick insects eat leaves.

Stick insects can camouflage themselves to keep safe from things that like to eat them.

Some stick insects are smooth like leaves. 

Some stick insects are rough like branches.

Some stick insects look like prickly bushes.
