The Library Road Show

Marie and Andy came to visit us from Glenfield and Northcote Libraries. They showed us lots of exciting books! Some of the students and Miss Chan acted out one of the stories. They told us that visiting the library is fun and it is free to get yourself a library card.

Daniel went to join Northcote Library. Here is a photo of him with his new library card.

We Are Amazing Authors!

This week we have been writing narratives. We have learnt that at the beginning of a narrative we need to introduce the characters and the setting. We also need to start our writing in an interesting
way. In the middle of the narrative there is always a problem. At the end of the narrative the problem is resolved and it could be a happy or sad ending. We hope you enjoy reading our narratives about the dogs and the bone.

Once upon a time there was a girl called Pop. She had a dog. The dog had been very good! The dog was called Poppy. The dog got the bone. Then the neighbour’s dog came to the playground. Poppy was at the playground. He wanted to eat the yummy, crunchy bone so, so much. The little dog thought that the big, big dog was going to scratch him so the little dog gave the yummy, crunchy, delicious meaty juicy bone to the big dog. The little fog felt so, so sad. “I like the bone, now give it back to me” he said.

One day there was a little dog called Lukey. He was a good dog. He got a bone. Another dog wanted the bone. They fought for the bone. The other dog got the bone. The little dog was disappointed.
By Riyan

One sunny day there was a girl. She gave a bone to her dog because he had been good. Along the way he met a dog. The big dog was sad because the little dog didn't share it. Then the big dog stole it. The little dog hollered, "The stole the bone". "Why did you do that?" Then the big dog gave the bone back. The little dog had a happy day because the big dog gave the bone back.

Fun at Tennis

Sophie came into our school to take us for a tennis lesson. We learnt how to hold the tennis racket properly. We had fun flipping the racket like a pancake and hitting the ball over the net.
